I felt that it's so right for me to write down what I thought in a day here so that one day when I look back, it's either I felt proud of myself for possessing that critical kind of thinking or laugh hard at myself for childishly thinking about unrealistic thought. So this is what I am going to say about today.
Well, let just say about I come from health science where all the medical equipment and facilities are in no doubt in our reach, and of course we can said, as health care school, we do prepared 100 percent comfort of hospital environment for not only the staff but also for all the impending graduate student.
When I was a kid, I didn't really step into any government facilities before, or maybe yes but I totally have no impression of it. Now you have to see, if you have no impression of anything regarding to facilities that you had once encountered, it only prove to you that the service itself wasn't quite impressive or successfull to ring a bell of my childhood experience, or maybe I was just so lucky that I wasn't being admitted for any hospitalization. Anyway, back to the topic today, when you were imagining and having beautiful reverie about the best among the rest health facilities for the student and yet you were being hit to the ground that, this sort of special treatment didn't really exist regardless whether you are the student or the resident there or not. As long as you are Malaysian, holding a Malaysia citizenship, then you are meant to be indulge in this slow health cae system of Malaysia.
Why do I say so?
What rigid evidence do you have to show this?
I don't really have any evidence to show how great our health care system really are, but I do have some prove that it wasn't as good as others as thought about. Well, let say about this...
Not long ago, when the clinic staff hadn't establish in USM, all of us regardless what you were being diagnose, all of us have to go to the family clinics for any checkup unless you have such emergency that you accidentally broke you penis, then you have no other choice but to rush to emergency unit. Anyway, what I am saying ow is that, the only special treatment that was given to us as the student there is that, we don't have to quee up for the long line and had out numbers taken for doctor consultation. So if you think this really do help, it actually didn't really aid much of it as we still have to wait up to an hour or so to consult a doctor. But yet, the great part about here is that, on that exact same date, didn't care how long you have waited as long as you are sticking your butt on the clinics chair, you are still meant to be seen by a doctor, the end of the stories. This is indeed what we need, yeah lar, cannot blame, when it comes to free treatment, everyone tend to be willingly to sacrifice all her or his time to be consulted by a doctor. Ok, understandable, but still gonna rate 5 out of 10 due to the long wait.
So, recently, out school because so standardize that they actually rebuild a new clinics staff which is kind of located damn fucking far away from inside the campus. Not that very far lar, it is just almost the end of the campus door, and it is a little bit unfair for those who are like living too inner side of the campus right?? Imagine you are so sick and fatigue that you don't even have the energy to stand moreover they are calling you to please walk this distance if you want to see a doctor!! OK la, health and distance, what is more important?? Health right, so it's acceptable that we have to forced ourselve to walk that long distance in order for our health to regain but what cannot be accepted is that, even thought you are so sick, but without appointment on that day, you are not meant to see the doctor on that day no matter how long it takes to wait in the line, as long as there's non of your student ID number of your name in the appointment book, then so sorry, please go back and treat yourself with whatever shit medicine you found in your drawer, as long as you don't die!!
BULLSHIT!!!!
This is the ever first time that I have ever encountered that if you have mild fever and you went to the public staff clinics which already meant for us without appointment, then you are immediately being rejected to continue with your diagnosis. So if you wanna consult a doctor, no matter how acute your problem is, please fucking make an appointment. WTH, WTH!!! How am I suppose to know whether I am going to sick next week or next two weeks or not? How am I going to know what the fuck is going to happen to my body next week? I canno foreseen what is about to come, and at the same time, I cannot even fucking know whether my temperature would rise or not next week. What kind of issue here we are talking about now? How can you just reject somebody who just wanna to see the doctor just because she had no appointment? You think you are specialist?? Sadly to say that, you are just a doctor who finished studying five years degree and is a public clinician and here, you are wanting us to make a fucking simple appointment just to see you? It might not be your fault, but you as a doctor, if you felt this system isn't going to benefits nobody but you, why don't you voice it up and tell the director of the hospital??
It's OK to wait for few hours, YES. It's ok to wait for that long, but it's definitely not OK to tell others to go back with that fatigue body and high temperature with the hope for the body to recover within days just because no appointment is being made. Come on, is that hard to diagnose a person?? People outside the public were being treated the right way when they were being sent here but we as the student here, trying to contribute a little by little of energy to the society are being treated this damn way?
You left us with no choice but to seek help in the emergency unit, but sadly to say that, we still have to wait for so long even in the emergency unit and most importantly, we were all being taught by kind lecturer that, if you are just having a mild fever, please don't considered going emergency as there's alot of people out there who are more serious than you needed the doctor more than you do. Yes, we do considered about that, but with the appointment system that you establish, you left us no choice, but to seize the place with the emergency unit,
